Andrea is one of our Danish recruiters at Job Squad. She moved to Athens, Greece, 3 years ago and has been loving the adventure ever since. She’s passionate about  learning from other people while also being able to help others start their own international journeys.

Before becoming a recruiter, Andrea has lived a life full of travel. Her parents has taken her and her brother to explore almost all of Europe, making her comfortable with and excited about adapting to new cultures from an early age. However, her big move to Athens happened after her amazing experience with hiking Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with her mother. It pushed her to rethink what she wanted from life, and two weeks later, she was on her way to Greece.

Beginnings can be tough and she remembers what it was like moving without a support system, but she believes it’s worth it. She truly means that once you’ve adjusted, it’s the best life experience you can have. When she’s off she loves hiking and exploring nature - basically doing anything to get a break from the busy city life.

Andrea also has a deep love for languages and she’s fascinated by learning new (and very old) languages to understand ancient history. Her advice to anyone moving abroad is to learn from both the good and bad times. The downs make the good times even better, and you’ll feel proud when you power through and succeed.
