Julia comes from Poland but lived in Gjøvik, Norway, from ages 12 to 20. In 2021, she decided to return to Kraków, Poland by herself for a gap year, which has turned into permanent residence. She wanted independence and to experience life on her own terms in a city she only knew from her childhood. She is passionate about providing people with a new beginning, allowing them to explore and grow in different environments.
Moving to a new place is all about the opportunity to learn. Each new location provides a chance to get familiar with other cultures, food, languages, and traditions. She believes that travel and exposure to diverse environments contribute significantly to personal growth. She loves to travel whenever possible, and her dream destinations include Cuba, Brazil, and Mexico.
Julia has a passion for cooking and eating, and she enjoys exploring new restaurants with her dog, Luis, who accompanies her on her lap. She also loves spending time with her friends, whether it’s at the movies, a rave, in the park, or on the beach. She’s also into art, philosophy, and politics, and could spend hours discussing these topics.
Julia’s advice for anyone moving abroad is to consider the worst-case scenario and realise that it's not as bad as it seems. The fear of not making friends or not thriving at a new job is natural, but taking the opportunity to move and try something new is a brave step. Life is too short to stay in one place, and every experience, whether it works out or not, is valuable.
