Our  warm and vibrant recruiter Lisa is originally from the Netherlands, but she now calls sunny Barcelona her home. Her favourite part about being a recruiter is by far the social aspect. She gets so much joy and satisfaction from building genuine connections with people, and helping them move abroad. Lisa feels a personal connection to her candidates and is eager to support with her own experiences, because she can relate to the many thoughts and feelings that they - and maybe YOU - are having.

Lisa decided to move abroad after the Covid-19 pandemic, where she had planned to explore South America. Instead, Lisa opted to move to Barcelona to enjoy the beautiful beaches, warmer climate, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere and mentality. Making the decision to call it home was an easy one. She believes that the best thing about moving abroad is the opportunity to meet new people and make lasting connections. There are many expats in Barcelona and she finds it easy to connect with multiple nationalities, because you all share a similar kind of mindset and values.

After hours, Lisa loves staying active with various sports like running, padel tennis, field hockey, and going to the gym. She's an outdoor enthusiast who loves walking, hiking, running, cycling through the city, or really just any other outdoor activity. Furthermore, she's passionate about cooking up delicious meals and exploring the many flavours of Barcelona in restaurants. Lastly, if you ever need a dog lover, Lisa is your go-to person. Her fondness for furry friends adds an extra layer of warmth to her already beautiful and warm character.

Her best piece of advice is: Just do it. Despite the long list of reasons one might find not to take the leap, Lisa believes that without trying, you might miss out on a life-changing experience. For her, moving abroad was the best decision she ever made! And she's ready to help you shoot your shot abroad as well!
