International Recruiter
Niki originally comes from Finland, but he lives in Barcelona. His journey to this sun-kissed Spanish city is a story of adventure, courage, and a deep-seated desire to explore the world. Niki loves helping people, and being a recruiter allows him to do just that - it's a win-win situation for him and the job seekers he assists.Â
Niki felt a strong pull to explore the world from an early age. Right after his high school finals, he went on his first adventure in Malaga for a couple of months. He returned briefly for his graduation party in Finland before taking off again to the Greek island Zakynthos. This was the beginning of his life abroad, and he has since then also lived in the Canary Islands, and now, Barcelona.
For Niki, the best part of moving to a new place is the personal growth that comes with stepping out of his comfort zone. Navigating everyday life in a new country, speaking a different language, and handling unexpected challenges have all contributed to his personal and professional growth. The friendships and connections he has made along the way are priceless.
When Niki isn't working, he enjoys hitting the gym, taking long walks along the beach, and watching the sunset. It's his perfect way to relax and recharge. Furthermore, he’s a sunbathing enthusiast, an Aperol Spritz lover, and a big fan of reggaeton music. His love for Latin music led him to start translating song lyrics, which sparked his interest in learning Spanish. Today, he speaks Spanish fluently.Â
His advice for anyone moving abroad, is to understand that the beginning can be overwhelming and stressful, but that's perfectly normal. Mixed feelings are part of the process, but once you take that crucial step, you'll thank yourself forever. Adapting to a new environment and culture might be challenging, but it's all part of the journey. Accept the fear and do it anyway - it's where the biggest growth happens.
