Sam Greece

International Recruiter

Sam is originally from Belgium but he now calls the sunny Salamina, Greece, his home. One of the main reasons why he loves being a recruiter is that he gets to assist individuals in gaining perspective, getting new experiences, and meeting new people.

Sam's journey abroad began at the age of 18 during a vacation in the Dominican Republic. He frequently visited a dive shop at his hotel and by the end of his trip, he was offered a job at the dive shop, which he eagerly accepted and he spent almost six fantastic months there.

After many years working in Belgium and going through a tough breakup, Sam felt stuck and needed a change. He came across a job opportunity in the gaming industry in Malta, so he took the chance, which led to three amazing years in Malta. During his time in Malta, Sam and his parents discussed their retirement plans. They had been on many vacations in Greece, so they all decided that Sam moved to Greece first, paving the way for his parents to join him later. He has now been living and working in Greece for four years, and it truly feels like home to him.

For Sam, the best part about moving to a new place is experiencing the new culture, meeting new people, and learning new languages. It's a never ending journey of personal growth and adventure. When Sam is not working he enjoys spending time with his dogs and cat. Furthermore, he loves exploring local restaurants and relaxing on the stunning beaches in his town.

Sam’s best piece of advice for anyone moving abroad is to take their time. First impressions can often be misleading, influenced by various factors and other people. It's essential to understand your own needs and expectations, take the time to evaluate yourself, and don’t hesitate to ask for help or talk to people if needed. Moving abroad is a big step, but with the right mindset and support, it can be the adventure of a lifetime.
